Empowering Young Minds, Supporting Young Journeys

Assessment, Consultation &
Training Services

Educational Psychology is a branch of psychology practice that focuses on exploring the strengths and needs of children and young people.Using consultation, observations and other assessment tools, educational psychology can unpick complex situations to find positive ways forward. It can help to assess the learning, social, emotional and mental health needs of young people and plan responsive intervention to support individuals to achieve their goals and thrive!

We build on strengths to find ways forward and promote access and inclusion. We work with young people aged up to 25, as well as their parents, carers and other adults involved in their care and support, such as school staff and children’s services professionals.

We use practical and creative activities to engage children and help them to express their thoughts and feelings, so that they can help us to help them. Most importantly, educational psychology is about relationships; developing trusting relationships to work collaboratively towards bright futures.

"Finding a psychologist that you can work with and ultimately trust is essential. Kerry came to us as a highly recommended child psychologist. The challenges facing my family were upsetting and stressful, and it can be hard to see a way forward. Working with Kerry we have made fantastic progress and with her support continue to do so. Kerry brings a sense of safety, and I know that we all trust her. Kerry focuses on the needs of my children with care, kindness, pragmatism, and psychological skill. I very grateful for the recommendation. Kerry has made a very real and meaningful difference to our family, supporting us with our challenges with empathy and skill."
